Nice noir drawings. But I persist in thinking that the word baloons detract and that some contextural furninshings would imnprove them. They are too brief to suggest a narrative thread of themselves, so any string of conversation would fit.

Good idea Austin , I was thinking of doing the same but you beat me to it . Anyhow here's my effort for your cartoon.
Bubble 1: Hey Dad mum's really done well with quitting smoking ....she's so plesed with her progress she said she wants to run up and kiss you ....
2 :yeah honey I've done so well I feel great , I feal fit enough to run up and hug you !
3: Well , you're a star sweetheart, Wish I had your will power ....
4: Ahhhhh, What a lovely whiff , that'll keep me going until i can sneak one in when there all asleep,
5:I'm so proud of you mum !
6: And I 'm such a bad father and husband , I bet you don't want to stay too close to me now you can really notice how much I stink....
P.S I expect you may need to change the spelling to U.S English , mom instead of mum ?
